It’s a pumpkin party ova here!! I LOVE Halloween, like in a serious, real way. Costumes, decorations, parties, treats, pumpkins, pumpkin spice. ALL OF IT. I’m the girl that comes home with $100 worth of Trader Joe’s pumpkin items. I’m the girl who goes to Safeway, QFC, and Fred Meyer to pick out the perfect pumpkins. And then also spends the entire day at the pumpkin patch looking for even more pumpkins. That’s me, folks.
So…okay. I love decorating pumpkins, that’s a huge duh if you read the first paragraph. I wanted to make something party-ish and fun and easy. These pretties were my inspiration:
Pretty, right??
These pom pom pumpkins are simple and take about 30 minutes! They would be great decorations for October or Halloween birthdays!
Materials
- Pumpkins, real or fake
- Hot glue gun
- Mini pom pom ribbon—I found mine at Joann Crafts
- Acrylic paint to paint the stems
- Paintbrush
Basic Idea
If using real pumpkins, wash and remove any dirt and other scuffs. Let dry.
Paint the pumpkin stems with bright paint. It’s quick and the extra pop is pretty.
Glue the ribbon around the middle part of the pumpkin. Just a few dots in two or three places will work.
Uh, that’s it. I know, right? Make a bunch and put one in every room, take some to work, and leave them at friends’ doorsteps as a fun surprise!
