There’s something glaringly obvious to me about this outfit that makes me laugh and also makes me feel good that I just went with it. You know how mullets are business in the front and party in the back? Well, this is the outfit version of a mullet. Business up top, party on the bottom. It’s a study in extremes.
Outfit: boyfriend jeans, LOFT
Shoes, DSW, similar
T-shirt, Old Navy, similar (they have adorable tees on the cheap!)
Blazer, Gap
Blanket scarf: H&M (via Goodwill for $5), similar
The blazer is heavy wool, but a bright springy shade of blue. It’s got a business/work cut but I’ve paired it with a super casual t-shirt. The scarf screams winter but the bright pink strays from the current on trend of camel and red. The jeans, obviously, are rock star and warm weather oriented. The heels, too, are on the springy side, though the dark brown hints to a more wintry palette.
Style tip: Don’t be afraid to mix business and party: that could mean a lot of things, but in this instance, blazers and t-shirts, winter and spring, darks and lights.
