Wrap It Wednesday: Black and White Stripes

Welcome to Wrap It Wednesday! This week I’m sharing a few simple black and white gift wrap ideas that you could use for any type of occasion–baby/bridal shower, wedding, graduation, birthday, (and Mother’s Day!)–you can’t go wrong. It’s sophisticated and bold, and everyone will immediately notice it (so your gift inside better be good!).

Ohhh, classic stripes. I wanted a gift that was sophisticated and feminine, for a best friend who is stylish and always on trend. I grabbed some inspiration pics for the gifts, because, you know, I’m nerdy like that. That’s how much I like to wrap gifts–I’ll look for color combos in fashion and interior design on Pinterest for inspiration. If you want to try it, search for something like “black and white stripes interior design” or “dalmatian print” or “speckled dot” and see if a color combo or pairing inspires your gift wrapping! Do it.

I love the soft peach paired with the bold stripes. Why not translate this feeling into a package?

This is a package I created for a friend’s birthday. I wanted it to be feminine and sophisticated, so I used a wide sheer peach organza ribbon. It creates the lovely contrast with the bold stripes you see in the inspiration pic. Paired with a gift wrapped in peach tissue and a pretty card from Rifle Paper Co., you have a simple but beautiful gift that your mom/bestie/sister/daughter will adore!
